Try these:

http://diydata.com/projects/plans/tool_plans.php

http://www.buildeazy.com/fp_start.html

http://www.woodworkersworkshop.com/resources/index.php?cat=102

For the rest of your DIY projects I would recommend http://www.instructables.com/ – here you can find step-bu-step instructions to bizzare and cool DIY projects, just for fun !

Sandra asks…

woodworking project ideas and plans?

does anyone know of any sites that have free woodworking project ideas and plans. i need to find a project to do in wood shop at school. we will have approx 10 classes(1 hour per class) so i would like something that i can complete in that time frame
list some ideas as well

Mike answers:

You can find some good sources of free plans on sites like HGTV or DIY network. You might also try checking out your local library for some woodworking books that have detailed designs. Also, I’ve had some great luck at local thrift stores for some older sunset books. They have an entire series on building decks, sheds, furniture etc.

You can also check out ebooks that have building plans and woodworking plans. I’ll leave a few I’ve used in the source area.

Mark asks…

Does anyone know a good woodworking site?

I’m looking for a site that has free downloadable woodworking plans…specifically a kitchen hutch or pantry

Mike answers:

BTW, I found this through StumbleUpon in the Home Improvement category a few days ago. SU is a pretty good resource where you can sign up for different categories and when you got some time you can go through different web sites that you may not have discovered on your own. Then bookmark them for later reference.
