Carol asks…

Houston Hobby Airport: Has anyone stayed overnight?

I’ll be flying to Houston the last week of May for an internship and my flight lands just before midnight on Saturday. I am on a tight budget and don’t want to spend for hotel. Since sleep is not a problem for me, I’m thinking about spending night in the airport reading books. Hay anyone stayed in Hobby airport overnight before? Will there be people around or is the airport completely dead at night? Any clues would be helpful.
Thanks.

Mike answers:

I’ve flown in and out of Hobby many times. I guess you could spend the night there, but am not sure. I would imagine it’s pretty dead that time of night.

(I’m wondering if they will kick you out since parts of the airport might not be open at night. I don’t know. Guess you could get away with it.)

Sandy asks…

Is there a shuttle service from Bush International Airport to Hobby Airport in Houston TX?

What are rates and times?

Mike answers:

Visitors to Hobby Airport have a variety of transfer and transportation options available to them once they arrive in Houston. This includes taxis, limousines, SuperShuttle shared-ride, scheduled ground transportation shuttles, hotel/motel courtesy vans, and even public (METRO bus) transportation. Services can take you to your nearby or downtown hotel or wherever your local travel takes you to in the surrounding area. Shuttle service is even available to Galveston and the various cruise ship ports of embarkation.

Shuttle services are available at the curb side outside of the baggage claim area in the lower level.

Betty asks…

Hello I am looking for the cheapest transportation from hobby airport in Houston to Galveston.?

Im going to a hotel not the port will be leaving for the port the next day.

Mike answers:

Talk to your hotel they should have a bus service that can pick you up and take you to and from the airport. If not call a cab and they can take you there. I don’t think the bus lines go out to galveston.
