I plan to sand the surface, prime it, paint it, sand it again, and paint it again.
I don’t know what the color # is for Craftsman red, and I don’t mind using another color.
The primer and paint will most likely be from spray cans as I do not have access to a body shop.
So, all things considered, what brand of paint do you recommend that is also low in odor after drying.
Any other tips are welcome.
Thanks.

Either Rustoleum or Krylon both are good brands of spray paint i prefer Krylon http://www.krylon.com/products/

I have a Craftsman pressure washer. I found a gallon of ZEP brand multipurpose detergent at Home Depot relatively inexpensive. However, it mentions something about using it with machines that have a downstream chemical injector. Does anyone know what this is and if the Craftsman model has one?

What the downstream means is there is a siphon hose close to the spray nozzle. They say that because if put in a reservoir it’ll suds up causing air to get into the system and loosing all suction. You need a low sudsing which is sold close to the sprayers in Home Depot or Lowe’s.

My 3-4 year old Craftsman Eager 1 lawn mower that starts when pulled but then immediately stalls. Lots of oil and gas, and it ran about 2 weeks ago fine, but now when I start it up it starts puffing and then dies. Air filter? Spark plug? Treatment? Help! Thanks!

I am assuming that your mower has a Tecumseh engine. Tecumseh has a good website with the following basic service manual. There are some really good problem flow charts and replacement part numbers. Hope this helps.

I won the championship. Gordon came on and said way to go, and something about there is a new banner in your craftsman truck series. Then I hit continue, and I’m still racing in the truck series. How do I move on?

I have a craftsman riding lawnmower that has the single pedal clutch/brake system. The clutch engages and disengages perfectly but when the pedal is completly depressed there is supposed to be brakes and there are none. Surely I can adjust it.

Follow the brake rod to the rear of the tractor should be on the right side of most mowers. You will find rod goes to a mechanism that is used for brakes. Sometimes you can adjust a couple of bolts on this mechanism to increase tension on the braking system. I believe you will need a 7/16 wrench to do this.
